Steven G. Roeder
Steven G. Roeder is a partner of Roeder & Broder LLP. Mr. Roeder has extensive experience with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and with international filings. Mr. Roeder has prepared and successfully prosecuted hundreds of patents in the mechanical and electrical fields. Mr. Roeder has also prepared and successfully prosecuted numerous trademark and copyrights applications.

Steven Roeder received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with honors, from Kansas State University in 1984. Mr. Roeder worked as an aerospace design engineer for three years before attending law school. In 1991, Steven received his Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego, School of Law, where he graduated with honors.
Mr. Roeder is a patent attorney registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Roeder is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the San Diego Intellectual Property Law Association, and the California State Bar Association.

James P. Broder
James P. Broder is a partner of Roeder & Broder LLP. Mr. Broder spent the first eight years of his legal career as a trial attorney, litigating various types of matters throughout California and Nevada. During the next 15 years, Mr. Broder has been prosecuting and enforcing patent and trademark applications, both domestically and internationally. Mr. Broder has prepared, prosecuted and successfully obtained hundreds of patents in a variety of technical fields, including mechanical, electrical, computer-related and biotechnical industries. Further, Mr. Broder has successfully prosecuted literally hundreds of trademarks and service marks, as well as numerous trade dress applications.
Mr. Broder recently received a prestigious award as one of the "Top Lawyers" for 2013 through 2017 in Intellectual Property Law in all of San Diego County. Mr. Broder is proud to serve his clients by providing high quality work product for an excellent value.
James Broder received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology from the University of California at Davis in 1986. During his time at U.C. Davis, Mr. Broder also majored in Computer Science and Engineering. In 1991, Mr. Broder received his Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego, School of Law, where he met his future business partner, Steven Roeder.
Mr. Broder is a patent attorney registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Broder is also a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the San Diego Intellectual Property Law Association, and both the California and Nevada State Bar Associations.
